Blueprint markets two desktop software tools, that provide
significant efficiencies in the generation and, management
of drawing files; CadManage and Codebook.
Depending on the nature of the project and the design
platforms desired to be utilised, Project Blueprint will
offer either solution. Both CadManage ad Codebook are fully
integrated with the on-line RoomData system.
CodeBook: A patented desktop computer application and
database that allows the designer to work with co-ordinated
graphical and textual information, producing schedules,
themed graphical views and room data sheets.
Via a joint alliance, Codebook’s range of Architectural
desktop tools able to be bundled with Blueprint’s RoomData®
product, in order to offer a complete solution for Planners,
Architects and Project Managers working on a variety of
platforms.
Codebook has long offered their ground-breaking range of
desktop tools that enables Architects to manage the process
of Room Data Sheet generation and manipulation during
Schematic design through to Design/Development. The Codebook
range of tools are now compatible for use with the AutoCad,
MicroStation, Architectural Desktop, mGDS, and REVIT design
solutions.
In conjunction with Blueprint’s own desktop software and the
internet based RoomData® product, the suite of Codebook
tools becomes even more powerful, offering many offices
working in disparate locations across different design
platforms the ability to easily combine their work. The work
of a variety of Architects, Services consultants, and
Equipment Specialists can now all be combined in the one
single on-line database.

CadManage: A desktop tool that automates the
generation of datasheets, which list details of building
fixtures and components previously manually generated from
drawings.
The Desktop based CadManage™ software overlays AutoCAD. It
greatly reduces the labour involved in generating building
data sheet details, by drawing from a database library of
items compiled by Blueprint over the last decade, and
incorporating information from an AutoCAD drawing.
Essentially, the application revolves around the concept of
'associating' items. Details of every item, and its
properties are captured in relevant databases. Through
associating these items within a given space, detailed
listings of materials and their relationship can be quickly
generated.
On many projects Room Data Sheets are required from the
Design Team. Some clients use them to 'Benchmark' projects
that follow and other clients use them for Facility
Management purposes.
Project Blueprint's RoomData™ System is ideal for that
purpose and allows the complete co-ordination of the design
team and the Clients FFE specialist. The CadManage™ desktop
software was developed to stream line completion of Room
Data by direct extraction from Cad files into Project
Blueprint's internet based RoomData™ system.
When a database is required for the Building Owners Facility
Management System, it becomes necessary to fill out room
data sheets from 'As Built' drawings and combine it with
FF&E Excel or Access files. This is a labour-intensive
activity and most consultants do not have a coordinated
system in place.More about
